Setting Default Languages & Managing Message Translations
Today’s customers may not always speak the same languages. Engage these different audiences by changing your widget's language settings.

Setting Default Languages
Acquire supports more than 25 languages in the front-end Chat Widget and platform. Navigate to Settings > Messenger Setup > Languages to set your default language from the Languages tab.
Supported languages are:
- English
- English (UK)
- Arabic
- Chinese
- Danish
- Dutch
- Finnish
- French
- German
- Greek
- Hindi
- Hungarian
- Indonesian
- Italian
- Japanese
- Korean
- Mongolian
- Norwegian
- Farsi
- Polish
- Portuguese

- Vietnamese
Chat Messenger Language
This is the primary language the agent will use to communicate with visitors.
Application Language
This is the language the Acquire dashboard will appear in.
The platform also supports spell check across 11 languages. Use the toggle switch to turn spell check on for:
- English
- Danish
- Dutch
- Finnish
- French
- German
- Greek
- Italian
- Portugese
- Spanish
- Swedish
Managing Message Translation
You may not always want a direct translation for the messages you display. Go to Settings > Messenger Setup > Languages and click on the Messages tab to change the default translations to custom translation.
Edit Message Translation settings by clicking the three dots (‘...’) under the 'Action' header.
