Requirements

You will need the following to complete the integration:

1. An official WeChat account
2. The WeChat app installed on your phone

If you don’t have a WeChat account, you can create a demo app using this sandbox URL: https://mp.weixin.qq.com/

Connecting to WeChat

Go to the Acquire App Store and click on the 'Install App' button under the WeChat icon.

A pop-up window will appear. Click 'Install'.

You will then be taken to a new page. Click the 'Authorize Access' button.

Once you have authorized the integration, you will need to fill in some information before you can connect to your WeChat account.

Enter a suitable name for the new channel. Note that the Channel Name is private and will only be used within Acquire.

Getting the App ID

From the WeChat Dashboard, go to the 'Basic Configuration | 基本配置' page. 

The App ID appears below the Developer section as shown.

Copy the App ID and paste into the App ID field in the Acquire interface.

Generating the App Secret

To generate the App Secret, you will need to pass through two verification steps. First, you will have to scan a QR code on the webpage. After this, you will be asked to re-enter your account password.

Once you have completed these security measures, a brand new App Secret is generated.

IMPORTANT: Save this secret key as it will not be shown again! A new App Secret is generated each time you go through this process.

Webhook URL and Token

Once you are done with the channel settings, the platform will have generated a Webhook URL along with a Verification Token for you to copy into your WeChat settings.

Click on the '修改配置 | Change Configuration' button below to open up the Configuration menu.

Copy the Webhook URL and Verification Token from the Acquire interface and paste them into their respective fields in WeChat.

Generate an Encoding AES key (note: this is not used) and select '明文模式 | Plain Text Mode' for message encryption.

Save these settings and a green message will appear.

Finally, enable these changes so that messages are forwarded to the platform. Click on the green '启用 | Enable' button. It will then turn red.

Finalizing the Connection

Return to the Acquire Platform and click the blue 'Save' button. Your Acquire account is now connected to WeChat!
