Chat with customers through the popular encrypted messaging platform, Telegram, without leaving your Acquire dashboard. Telegram messages appear in Acquire just like direct messages.

Requirements

Before you can connect Telegram to Acquire, you’ll need to build a bot. Click here to learn how to create a Telegram bot.

Once the bot is built, make sure you save your token somewhere safe. If it gets lost or becomes compromised, use the ‘/token’ command to create a new one via BotFather. You’ll need the token to authorize the bot, send requests to the Bot API, and complete the Acquire integration.

IMPORTANT: Keep your token safe and store it securely; it can be used by anyone to control your bot.

How to Connect Telegram

Go to the Acquire App Store and click on the ‘Install App’ button under the Telegram icon. Read the app permissions and click ‘Install’.

On the following page, read the details and click ‘Authorize Access’.

You will then be taken back to the Acquire Admin Panel. Enter your Bot Name and Bot Token from Telegram in the corresponding fields.

Click ‘Save’ to complete the integration.

When you receive a message in Telegram, it will now appear in the Acquire dashboard. Your responses will then pull through to Telegram and be displayed to visitors and customers.
