Article Search


Allow visitors to search your Knowledge Base directly in the widget home screen.

Installing the App

Go to the Acquire App Store > Widget Apps > Article Search or search for Article Search using the search bar. On the Article Search title, click ‘Install App’. Review the app capabilities and click ‘Install’. On the next screen, review the permissions and access levels, then click ‘Authorize Access’.

 

Displaying the App in the Widget

Navigate to Settings > Messenger Setup > Widget Apps. Click on Article Search and then click ‘Push App to Widget’ to complete installation.

Click on the app tile to make the 'Push App to Widget' button appear.

If the widget does not appear in the widget after clicking the button, refresh your page.

 

Now, when visitors are on a widget-enabled page, they can bring up articles from your Help Center. 

Using Article Search in the Dashboard or in the Sequence Bot

Dashboard

During a conversation with a visitor, agents may push the Article Search app to the widget by using the Dashboard tools.

Click on the apps button in the left hand toolbar and then select ‘Article Search’.

Visitors and agents will see the app block appear in the conversation timeline. Please note that visitors will not be able to see anything the agent types while they’re reading an article.

Sequence Bot

Use Stripe during a sequence to ask visitors for their contact and payment details. 

To use Stripe during a sequence, navigate to Chatbot > Sequence Bot. Create a new sequence or update an existing one.

In a new branch, click on ‘Add another interaction’ and then choose ‘Chat Widget’.

 A Chat Widget Block will appear to the right of the branch. Select the link that appears after ‘Choose widget’ and choose Article Search.

If you’d like the sequence to continue after the Widget App process completes, add a new branch.

Save, publish, and activate the bot through a Business Rule.

You’re all set to use Article Search.

Uninstalling Article Search

To uninstall the app, go to the Article Search tile in the App Store and click on the three dots (‘...’) on the app’s tile. Select ‘Uninstall’ and the app will be uninstalled.
